Haltom City police are looking for two masked armed robbers who tied up two people at a cell phone store Monday morning and ran out with cash, authorities said.
The robbers walked into the store in the 4100 block of East Belknap while a customer was talking to an employee, displayed a handgun and took the customer and employee to a back room where they were both tied up, according to a news release.
The suspects assaulted the store employee, said Detective Ray Beshirs, a police spokesman. The employee did not require hospitalization, he said.
However, the two spent an “extended amount of time” inside the store and appear “violent and dangerous,” according to a police report.

The suspects demanded new iPhones, but the employee didn’t have access to those, so they took an undisclosed amount of cash and took off in a tan or gray Chevrolet van.
The van appeared to be an early 1990s model Chevrolet Sportvan G20.
The two were described as black males in blue scrubs and white masks.
The robbery was reported at 11:27 a.m.
