A girl was killed and her mother and three siblings injured in a rollover car accident Friday, authorities said Sunday.

Officials with the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified the girl as Chloe Craig, 10, of Fort Worth.

She was a passenger in the back seat of a Ford Explorer that left the roadway and turned over several times in the 700 block of Farm Road 2871, about 4  1/2 miles northwest of Benbrook, said Terry Grisham, Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department spokesman.

Chloe’s cause of death was blunt-force head injuries, according to the medical examiner’s website, and she was pronounced dead on the scene at 2:59 p.m.

Chloe’s mother and three siblings were also in the vehicle, Grisham said. It is believed that all occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts, he said.

The mother was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth and was in the ICU as of about 11 p.m. Friday, he said. Her condition was unavailable Sunday.

The other children, a 13-year-old girl, 3-year-old boy and 18-month-old girl, were taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center and released Friday night, he said.

At this time there is no obvious reason for the rollover, he said, and there were no other vehicles involved.
