Two people died early Monday in a mobile home fire in Pelican Bay, a fire official said.

The names of the man and woman had not been released pending notification of relatives.

No other injuries were reported in the fire, which was reported about 3:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Trail’s End Street in Pelican Bay. Pelican Bay is about 22 miles northwest of Fort Worth, along Eagle Mountain Lake.

“By the time firefighters arrived on the scene, the roof was about to collapse,” Tarrant County Fire Marshal Randy Renois said Monday in a telephone interview.

As they were extinguishing the blaze, firefighters found one of the victims in the burning home.

“At some point, we were told that a second person was suppose to be inside,” Renois said. Firefighters discovered the body of the second victim about 7:30 a.m. in the burned-out mobile home.

Renois said no other residents were inside at the time of the blaze.

The fire destroyed the mobile home, fire officials said.

“We don’t suspect foul play,” Renois said. The cause is still under investigation.
