North Texans will get a good taste of spring this week as temperatures begin to warm up, with highs in the mid-70s and low 80s.
Sunday’s high is expected to reach 78 degrees with a low of 54 Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.
The hottest temperature this week should come on Tuesday, with a possible 83 degrees, beating last week’s high of 80 degrees on March 30.
Fort Worth’s hottest day of the year so far was March 14, when it reached 89, meteorologist Lamont Bain said.

Tuesday’s warm weather comes with strong south winds, with gusts potentially up to 30 mph in the evening, according to the weather service.
The forecast calls for clear skies this week, and no rain until a 20 percent chance on Saturday.
