A 59-year-old man driving his Ford Explorer on Interstate 35W Friday morning was killed when his vehicle flipped, according to authorities.
Witnesses told investigators that the Explorer was northbound in the 15000 block of the freeway about 6:30 a.m. when it crossed the solid yellow line and onto the paved shoulder near Texas 114, said Tracey Knight, a Fort Worth police spokeswoman.
The driver appeared to overcorrect to get back on the freeway and lost control causing the Explorer to flip, Knight said.
Medical responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene, Knight said.
