A 17-year-old girl was arrested Wednesday night after she was linked to a tweet threatening violence at Bowie High School, police said.
Shalaria Jones remained in the Arlington Jail Thursday night facing one charge of terroristic threat. Bail was set at $10,000.
Police seized her cellphone and obtained a search warrant that linked her to the tweet sent out Tuesday morning, said Lt. Chris Cook, an Arlington police spokesman.
According to a search warrant affidavit, school resource officers reported to detectives that a threat of violence had been posted from a Twitter account.

“The post consisted of a photograph of a black handgun that stated @12 be readie for bowie to hav a schoo shootin,” the affidavit stated.
A detective determined that the account had been opened just that morning. He contacted Twitter, which turned over the IP address and cell phone number of the account. It was traced to Jones.
Police interviewed her at her home. They found Google search history evidence that Jones scrolled through photos of guns.
She denied making the threat and searching for information about guns, the affidavit said.
Other threats reportedly were directed at Sam Houston High School, but an arrest has not been announced in that case.
