Fort Worth man who died in I-30 service road accident identified

The Fort Worth man who died in a single-vehicle wreck on an I-30 service road Sunday has been identified.

Ismael Sanchez-Perez, 27, died of multiple blunt force injuries after he crashed his car into a tree at 3958 West Freeway on Sunday evening, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office said Thursday.

Sanchez-Perez was driving west when he “veered off the highway for unknown reasons” and then crashed, Fort Worth police spokeswoman Tracey Knight said.

He was the only person in the car, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, near Sutter Street and Belle Place.

His death was ruled an accident.
