A US Airways flight from Dallas/Fort Worth Airport was met by police after landing Friday at Charlotte Douglas Airport in North Carolina, the Charlotte Observer reported.
The FBI told the Observer that there was a security concern aboard the aircraft. “Out of an abundance of caution, security protocols were implemented,” an agency representative told the newspaper.
Flight 744 landed safely around 5:11 p.m. EDT, about six minutes early, according to the aviation website FlightAware. The flight, an Airbus A321, left DFW from Gate E28 at 2:03 p.m. CDT, about 13 minutes late.
