Fort Worth 2019 State of the City address
The magazine named the Fort Worth chamber, in conjunction with the Dallas Regional Chamber, for the Mac Conway Awards for Excellence in Economic Development. It’s the second time in a row Fort Worth has received this distinction, and the 10th in the past 15 years.
The award was named after Site Selection founding publisher H. McKinley “Mac” Conway.
The criteria for the award include total number of jobs created, total amount of investment and per capita investment and jobs created in the region in 2018. Last year, the Fort Worth Chamber oversaw 14 completed projects, $200 million in total capital investment and more than 2,000 new jobs.
“The Fort Worth Chamber has been actively pursuing a variety of economic development opportunities for the past two years as part of their Fortify strategy to attract, retain and expand business,” said Mayor Betsy Price in a news release. “The Chamber and our regional public and private partners have strengthened their networks to deliver positive results for the region.”
