Haltom City woman killed in Fort Worth crash

A Haltom City woman was killed Friday evening and another woman was critically injured in a one vehicle crash a few blocks south of Interstate 30, police said.

The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office website on Sunday identified the victim as Annette Stevens, 66, of Haltom City who was pronounced dead at the scene. She died from blunt force trauma to her head, according to an autopsy by the medical examiner’s office.

Stevens was a passenger in the vehicle, police said Sunday.

The driver of the vehicle, a third woman, suffered critical injuries, but her condition was not available on Sunday. Authorities did not identify the driver.

Patrol officers responded to a major accident call about 6:45 p.m. Friday at 2400 Beach St at Lancaster Avenue.

Witnesses reported that a vehicle sped through an intersection as the driver lost control and crashed, police said.

The fatal crash was under investigation.
