Third suspect arrested in drug-related killing of Fort Worth man

The third and final suspect identified by police in the Nov. 1 shooting and stabbing murder of 23-year-old Fort Worth man Diego Martinez has been arrested, according to jail records.

Daniel Rosales, 26, was booked into jail shortly before 12:30 p.m. Friday, records show. He faces charges of capital murder and parole violation.

Police say he along with Sonita Rosales, 28, and Robert Rico, 20, robbed, shot and stabbed Martinez during a narcotics transaction.

Daniel Rosales is being held on $250,000 bond.

Sonita Rosales was arrested on Nov. 27 and Rico was arrested Nov. 22. Each faces a charge of capital murder among other charges.

Police did not immediately say what role each of the suspects is accused of playing in the robbery and killing

Sonita and Daniel Rosales are cousins, according to a family member.

Dallas County District Attorney Faith Johnson announced the grand jury has handed up an indictment of murder against former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger in the shooting death of Botham Jean. His family was present for the announcement.
