Homicide victim found on Arlington street identified as Forest Hill man

A man found wounded on a street and who later died has been identified as a Forest Hill resident, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Monday.

The victim was Alexander Cabrera, 26, who was pronounced dead Saturday afternoon at an Arlington hospital, according to the website. A ruling on his death is pending an autopsy.

Cabrera was found lying in the roadway late Friday in the 1700 block of Florence Street.

When they arrived, officers found Cabrera with an apparent gunshot wound to his lower body, police said.

Investigators located a bicycle nearby believed to have belong to Cabrera.

Detectives had very little information on the homicide.
