A teen who last seen at her family’s apartment last week has been found safe in Fort Worth, police said.
Authorities did not provide any details.
Apria Stewart, 17, was in her family’s apartment on the night of Sept. 4 in west Fort Worth, but she was missing when her mother got up the next morning.
“I went to bed and she was up with her sister and two brothers listening to music,” her mother, Amelia Douse, said Wednesday in a telephone interview. “The next morning I thought she was in the bathroom. When we checked, she wasn’t there or anywhere in the apartment.”

Stewart’s father and other family members searched the neighborhood in the Lackland Road and Camp Bowie Boulevard area, but they were unable to find her.
“In May, after she turned 17, people told her she should be on her own,” her mother said.
Douse said her daughter suffers from Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and other mood disorders, takes medications, but she did not take them with her when she left the apartment last week.
Apria is home-schooled, but she has friends in the neighborhood, her mother said.
