The death of newborn Isabella Jimenez-Rooker is being investigated by the Fort Worth police department’s Crimes Against Children unit, a police spokesman said.
The baby was born Aug. 11 and died on Sept. 7, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner.
Police spokesman Jimmy Pollozani would not say whether an arrest has been made or release any other information on the investigation.
Police were called to the baby’s residence in the 2500 block of Refugio Avenue and she was taken from there to Cook Children’s Medical Center, according to the medical examiner. She was pronounced dead shortly after 6:30 a.m.
