Police don't believe there is any immediate danger to the public stemming from the killing of a woman Tuesday in the Overton Woods neighborhood, they said Wednesday, adding that the victim is not from that area.
"We feel that the victim and suspect were traveling through the area when this occurred," said police spokesman Jimmy Pollozani.
"The victim does not have an address in the area and we have found no connection with the TCU area through our investigation," he said.
The victim, identified only as a white woman in her mid-30s, was found on a grassy area next to the eastbound lane of Bellaire Drive at the intersection of Ranch View Road early Tuesday morning.

Her next of kin has been notified, but Fort Worth police have requested that the Tarrant County medical examiner's office not release her name while the homicide investigation goes forward, public information officer Carol Ann Lawson said.
Lawson said her office is being told not to even reveal which city the victim lived in.
Investigators appeared to sweep the crime scene with a metal detector on Tuesday, and later dug up the ground. Blood was in the grass and on the curb near the scene.
Detectives are following up leads on a possible suspect, Pollozani said.
Police ask anyone with information to contact the homicide unit at 817-392-4330.
