Police are investigating fatal auto-pedestrian and vehicle collisions that occurred Monday.
A 22-year-old woman died in one of those collisions, according to authorities.
Kaylea Ward of Fort Worth died at John Peter Smith Hospital about 6:35 p.m. Monday, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's officer.
Ward was exiting the South Freeway when her vehicle hit with a guard rail and spun until it faced sideways in the middle of the roadway, police said.
Another vehicle traveling in the same direction in the 6600 block of the freeway service ramp was unable to stop in time and struck Ward's vehicle, police said. The impact caused Ward to be ejected and she was pronounced dead from multiple blunt force injuries, according to authorities.
No other injuries were reported and no charges have been filed, police said.
In a crash that occurred in the 1499 block of the South Freeway service road on Monday, a 64-year-old woman was struck and killed by a gray or white Dodge Durango while walking alongside the freeway service road, police said.
The collision occurred about 10:40 p.m. on the northbound side of the freeway, police said.
