Smile for the camera! This thief did — while trying to rob an ATM, police say

A pleasant smile — it's the No. 1 way to be more photogenic.

But while trying to rob an ATM is probably not the right moment to be concentrating on that.

That's the lesson Fort Worth police hope to teach one thief caught on camera by the ATM he was trying to pry open in January.

Police are looking for the 18- to 25-year-old male with a sunny smile, blond hair and distinctive tattoos on his upper arm who caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to an ATM at Southside Bank, 6001 Bryant Irvin Rd.

The attempted robbery occurred on Jan. 19, according to a Fort Worth Police Department news release.

Police are urging anyone with information on the suspect to call 817-392-4714.

The Saginaw Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that took place on Sunday morning at the Bank of America located in the 1000 block of N. Saginaw Boulevard.
