A school bus carrying 17 middle school kids was struck by a hit-and-run driver Tuesday afternoon in west Fort Worth, school officials said.
The wreck occurred about 5 p.m. near the intersection of Alta Mere Drive and Calmont Avenue, right in front of MedStar’s new headquarters, said Brett Lyle, a MedStar spokeswoman.
All of the passengers were OK, she said.
“The information we are getting is some Good Samaritan followed the car and got the license plate number,” school district spokesman Clint Bond said.
On Monday, a two-bus crash involved 70 Crowley middle school kids Monday, 31 of whom were sent to local hospitals with minor injuries, Fort Worth fire officials said.
That wreck occurred at 3:30 p.m. in far south Fort Worth.
