A TCU security guard has been fired and barred from campus after being arrested on suspicion of recording a female student in a library women’s restroom, TCU police said Saturday night.
Alexander Marin is accused of improper photography or visual recording, a state jail felony, TCU police Sgt. Kelly Ham said in an email to the campus community that was obtained by the Star-Telegram.
A student told police Wednesday that she had been in the restroom at Mary Couts Library when “she saw a hand under the stall holding a cell phone with the lens pointing at her,” according to the email.
Although the student couldn’t see who was holding the cellphone, an investigation identified Marin as the suspect.

TCU police believe that Marin, who has been issued a criminal trespass warning barring him from campus, may have recorded other people at the library during the last two months.
