Police are searching for a man and a woman who are suspected of attaching a credit card skimmer to an ATM at a 7-Eleven in far north Fort Worth.
The suspects were caught on surveillance video at the store in the 1600 block of Western Center Boulevard on Nov. 1, according to a police news release Tuesday.
When they walked in, they "took the long way" to the ATM, trying to avoid contact with the employees, the news release said. The woman positioned herself in front of the man "to block the employees' view," police said, and then the man appeared to attach a skimmer to the ATM.
Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call police at 817-392-4616.
Last month, a Dallas man was arrested in a $500,000 scheme involving card skimmers at gas pumps across North Texas, Carrollton police said. Five other suspects were accused in the scheme.
