"Garrett gave his life in a sacrifice to maintain peace, and it's the same peace that we gather in this evening," Fort Worth Police Chief Joel Fitzgerald told the crowd of hundreds at Wednesday's candlelight vigil.
A small gather of community and faith leaders gathered to pray for a swift and complete recovery for a wounded Fort Worth undercover officer. Garrett Hull was being treated at John Peter Smith Hospital on Friday for a head wound.
Garrett Hull, an undercover police officer, was shot in the head while trying to stop suspects in an armed robbery Fort Worth police said. The shooting happened shortly after 12:30 a.m. and the officer is in critical condition.
