The little piggy captured by Fort Worth police on Monday will go wee, wee, wee all the way home.
She’s headed to a rescue group, a Fort Worth official said.
Little Princess Hammie, named by employees at the Fort Worth Animal Shelter (“Little” is part of the name), is in good health.
“She’s pretty stressed,” city spokeswoman Diane Covey wrote in an email. “She has wonderful soft blankets and lots of people petting her.”

The potbellied piggy made a mad dash to escape officer Christopher Fields and others who tried to capture it Monday afternoon, but the police won.
The chase began after Fields and Officer Timothy Fornash responded to a loose-livestock call Monday afternoon in the 4500 block of Pine Tree Circle.
The pursuit lasted just a few minutes and ended in a back yard.
A police photo showed Fields keeping a tight hold on the pink pig as he walked out of the yard. Another police photo showed the little pig in the backseat of a patrol car.
Little Princess Hammie weighs about 10 pounds.
A nonprofit animal rescue organization is expected to pick up Little Princess Hammie on Thursday.
