George Strait returns to a Texas stage Wednesday night.
You can’t buy tickets — and the name of the venue hasn’t been revealed — but you can watch The King’s show live online on the Wrangler Network. Here’s the link.
Strait, 64, and his Ace in the Hole Band are playing a Texas dance hall, complete with “dusty floors,” according to a press release, ahead of the release of his latest box set, “Strait Out of the Box, Part 2.”
The album, available Friday at Wal-Mart, features 36 of Strait’s hits.

Austin 360, the Austin American-Statesman’s pop culture site, suggested Strait might be playing Gruene Hall in New Braunfels. The historic venue has a “private event” booked Wednesday night.
If that’s the case, it should be a bit more intimate setting than Strait’s farewell show in 2014, when he played in front of 104,000 fans at AT&T Stadium.
