Creative designs from across the globe inspired Starbucks 2016 holiday cups, which they unveiled Thursday morning.
After last year’s uproar about their red cups being too plain, Starbucks took note of the doodle-inspired art drawn on the cups and used creations from customers in Indonesia, Canada, Dubai, Russia, South Korea and the United States in order to design this years line of holiday cups, a company news release said.
The 13 designs feature holiday-themed art like sleighs, candy canes, snowflakes, tree lights, reindeer, birds and more.

“Their inspiration came from nature and seasonal traditions. Some are bold and graphic while others evoke the feeling of an old-fashioned storybook,” the news release said. “Together the collection expresses the shared spirit of the season.”
For their annual Share the Cheer event, participating Starbucks locations are offering free holiday drinks with the purchase of a holiday drink Nov. 10-14 from 2-5 p.m. Rewards members can take advantage of an extra hour for the promotion, until 6 p.m.
