An early morning house fire left one dead in north Fort Worth Saturday.
Fort Worth Fire Department responded to a house fully engulfed in flames just before 1 a.m. at the 5100 block of Spanish Trail. They were able to manage the fire and keep it from escalating, department spokesman Kyle Clay said.
The identity of the victim has not been released but according to neighbors and family nearby, the home was occupied by a 54-year-old female, Clay said.
The fire department said a team of arson investigators will assess the cause of the fire, which is unknown at this time.
