Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help locating a man they say is armed, dangerous and wanted in connection with a fatal shooting.

Authorities have issued a murder arrest warrant for Tony Vincent Novello, 24, a man described as a felon convicted of multiple crimes, said Terry Grisham, Tarrant County Sheriffs Department spokesman.

Novello got a visit from a man and a woman about 2 a.m. Tuesday and he got in a fight with the man, Grisham said. During the fight, Alec Puente, 22, was shot while at Hilltop RV Park in the 7800 block of Jacksboro Highway, near Lake Worth, Grisham said.

Puente was taken to a hospital in Azle, where he died at 2:50 a.m., according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.

Novello fled the scene shortly after the shooting and was last seen driving a black 1990 Honda Accord with white rims, with Texas license plate No. HDM 3977.

Novello has been convicted of misdemeanor assault, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading arrest and detention, and unlawful possession of a firearm charges dating back to 2011.
