The driver of an 18-wheeler that veered off the highway and overturned in Dallas early Friday has yet to be located.
A passing motorist called the Dallas County sheriff’s office to report the truck overturned on the side of Stemmons Freeway near Mañana Drive about 5:15 a.m., sheriff’s office spokeswoman Melinda Urbina said.
She said it’s unknown how long it had been since the wreck, and deputies quit searching for the driver about 8 a.m. He still hadn’t been accounted for as of noon.
A hazmat crew was called to the scene and crews were summoned to clear the wreckage.
