A 16-year-old boy was taken into custody late Monday, accused in the fatal stabbing of a man on Sunday, police said.
The teen’s name was not released because he is a juvenile, police Lt. Christopher Cook said in an email Tuesday.
Francisco Lopez, 27, was found stabbed in the chest in a driveway in the 6300 block of Declaration Drive. He was pronounced dead at 8:05 a.m. at Medical Center of Arlington.
Officers had responded to a call about an altercation at the address at 4:40 a.m. when they found Lopez.
Detectives said Lopez and the teen have family ties.
The teen faces a charge of delinquent conduct-murder and has been turned over to Tarrant County juvenile authorities, Cook said.
