One person has died after a crash in Arlington on Monday afternoon.

The wreck happened in the intersection of East Sublett Road and New York Avenue at 3:51 p.m., according to the Arlington Police Department.

A pickup truck was heading southbound on New York Avenue while a car was traveling eastbound on East Sublett Road. The pickup truck collided with the car in the intersection, police said.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver has not yet been identified.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to a local hospital with injuries that aren’t considered life threatening.
