Arlington police responded to a fatal accident Thursday morning on Interstate 20.

A Grandview man died Wednesday night in Arlington after a high-speed crash on Interstate 30, authorities said.

Ivan Villa, 23, entered the freeway “at a high rate of speed” and lost control of his vehicle near Baird Farm Drive shortly before 11 p.m., according to police and the Tarrant County medical examiner.

Villa’s vehicle crossed into the median and hit a concrete pillar, police said.

He was transported to Medical City Arlington and later pronounced dead, authorities said.

Police said they “have not ruled out the possibility that alcohol may have played a factor in this crash.”

An accident Tuesday afternoon on a Fort Worth, Texas freeway could have been much worse. MedStar reports that one person was ejected when a car rolled over on Interstate 30.

The driver crashed his truck into a bridge pillar while traveling northbound in the 12800 block of Interstate 35W, and his vehicle burst into flames, according to police.

Slow down, and stay away from emergency vehicles and stranded cars in the far right lane. This dashcam video released by Euless police shows what could happen when you don't.
