Responding to a noise complaint, officers found a house party from which most guests were trying to make a quick getaway, but officers decided to question the occupants of a truck blocking the roadway, police spokesman Steven Bartolotta said.
The driver, who was wearing body armor, was evasive, officers said, so they had him step out of the car to be frisked.
In his waistband they found a handgun that had been reported stolen from Louisiana, police said.
When police inspected the truck, they found an AR-15 and marijuana.
The suspect was taken into custody, Bartolotta said. Because he is a juvenile, his name won’t be released to the public, police said. The suspect faces charges of unlawful possession of a weapon, marijuana possession, theft of a firearm and resisting arrest, police said.
