An unidentified woman was killed Monday night when an SUV struck her as she crossed South Cooper Street about two miles north of I-20, police say.
They say she wasn't using a crosswalk and the driver probably won't be charged.
The incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. in the 2700 block of South Cooper Street, police said in a news release.

The woman, whose name won't be released until the Tarrant County medical examiner has notified her next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, police say.
The driver of the SUV stopped and is cooperating with investigators, police say.
