The book is closing on nearly 20 years in the Lincoln Square shopping center for Half Price Books.
The store that sits at the intersection of Center and Road to Six Flags Streets will go out of business on March 11.
Emily Bruce, a spokeswoman for Half Price Books, blamed "the development of the new stadiums, restaurants and other retailers in the area" for making "accessing the store more difficult for our customers."
The Lincoln Square location has seen a steady decline in traffic in recent years, Bruce said.
It sits just blocks north of AT&T Stadium and less than a mile away from Globe Life Park. Half Price Books has been a part of Lincoln Square since 1998, but "the area around the store has changed quite a bit since we first opened that location," Bruce said.
The closure will leave Arlington with one Half Price Books location, on Cooper Street and Pioneer Parkway. With Lincoln Square still running, the Half Price Books chain has 127 locations, eight of which are in Tarrant County.
The company is headquartered in Dallas.
Bruce said the Lincoln Square location has no plans for any going-out-of-business sales.
