A Waxahachie woman was arrested and accused of intoxication manslaughter after a fatal collision on Interstate 20 near the President George Bush Turnpike exit early Friday morning, police said.
A 2008 Dodge pickup driven by Olivia Rehonic, 21, collided with the back of a disabled 2013 Mazda MX-5 eastbound on I-20 and driven by Donald Normal Clifford II, 32, of Grand Prairie at about 2:45 a.m., said Sgt. Eric Hansen, Grand Prairie police, in a news release. Clifford was pronounced dead at the scene, Hansen said.
Rehonic is in custody at the Grand Prairie Detention Center, he said.
Hansen said police believe Clifford was fleeing the scene of another crash in Arlington when his vehicle became disabled on I-20.
Arlington and Grand Prairie police continue to investigate.
