Police are searching for a suspected burglar who was apparently scared away from an Arlington home by a small dog last month.

The incident happened May 18 in the 3900 block of Brookfield Drive, according to a police news release. Police released surveillance video of the suspect running out of the house while the dog, a Chihuahua named Sadie, barked from the living room and chased him.

The suspect had kicked in the front door and gone to a back bedroom of the home before fleeing, the news release said.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact police detective Jessica Ortiz at 817-459-6476.
