Fans needed caps and sunscreen Sunday afternoon to watch the Texas Rangers win their fifth straight home game and sixth straight overall, coming from behind again to beat Oakland 6-4.
North Texas was blessed with sunny skies and a high temperature of 90 degrees, gorgeous weather for Mother’s Day and a baseball game.
The only drawback was the high levels of ozone, said Patricia Sanchez, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in fort Worth.
“Otherwise it was a perfect day,” she said.
Monday will mark the third consecutive day of ozone alerts, meaning conditions are ripe for producing high levels of air pollution, and temperatures should again push 90 degrees.
After Monday we’ll start seeing a slight chance of thunderstorms, Tuesday through Sunday.
