Agents with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have joined the search for a suspect who stole five handguns from an area pawnshop.
The ATF also has offered a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
Late Tuesday, police released new photos of the suspect who tried to smash and grab firearms from an Arlington pawn shop. The photos were taken by store surveillance cameras at the Arlington shop.
In Grand Prairie, the theft happened about 3:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Valu Plus Pawn shop in the 2900 block of Arkansas Lane, police said in a news release.

Grand Prairie Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (972) 988-8477.
The suspect damaged a glass display case at the shop before taking the guns and fleeing south into the nearby Silverbrook Apartment complex, the news release said.
