Seguin defeated North Crowley 57-55 on Nov. 17 to open nondistrict competition, with four players scoring in double digits.
Josh Parrish led the way with 15 points, while Kelton Edwards and Jay Goree each had 13 and Emmanuel Sanosi contributed 10.
The Cougars were scheduled to host South Grand Prairie on Tuesday, after the press deadline. They’ll be playing nondistrict games and participating in tournaments such as the Arlington Classic on Dec. 4 in preparation for their first district game Dec. 12 at Mansfield Summit.
Arlington dominated Dallas Molina to open nondistrict Nov. 18 with a win 64-47. Christopher Barrett had 23 points for the Colts, and Bronderick Bell had 14.

Lamar also began its season with a victory on Nov. 18, defeating Keller Central 60-52. Diontae Champion had 22 points and Julius Jackson had 21 for the Vikings.
Lamar was scheduled to visit Euless Trinity last Friday and to host Irving on Tuesday.
Bowie and Martin began their nondistrict seasons last weekend.
Arlington lost to Irving Nimitz 53-35 on Nov. 18. Alesha Beatty led the scoring with eight points. The Lady Colts were set to play Mansfield on Tuesday; after the Thanksgiving break they’ve got Midlothian on Dec. 9.
Also on Nov. 18, Sam Houston lost to Dallas Parish Episcopal, 75-38. Sam Houston was scheduled to host Azle on Monday.
Seguin defeated Lamar 54-49 on Nov. 18, with Alarie Mayze scoring 21 points for Seguin. Lamar’s scoring was led by Dezirae Hampton’s 19.
Seguin was set to host Bowie on Tuesday before district opens Dec. 2 with a home game against Ennis. Lamar was scheduled to travel to South Grand Prairie on Tuesday.
Bowie lost 85-63 to Cedar Hill on Nov. 18, but Jaye Cage had 23 points and Emerald Mayfield had 21.
