Roads will close in and around the University of Texas at Arlington on Friday night and Saturday for the school’s annual homecoming parade, street festival and 5K run.

Detour: Drivers can use Center Street or Mesquite Street to go around the closure.
The street festival begins at 3:30 p.m. Spaniolo Street will be closed between UTA Boulevard and Third Street from 9 a.m. Friday, to prepare for the event, until about midnight Saturday.

Vehicles traveling from University Center will be allowed on West First Street until 3 p.m. Saturday.
Detour: Drivers can use UTA Boulevard, Mitchell Street, Center Street or Mesquite Street to avoid the closures.
The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. Saturday and end at 7:30 p.m.. In addition to the closures for the street festival, streets on campus on the parade route, including College Street, First Street, South Oak Street and West Third Street, will be closed.
Parking will be limited, but drivers can access the College Park garages as well as surface lots south of Fourth Street.
Detour: Drivers can use Summit Street to the west or Cooper Street to the east to go around the closure.
The 5K begins at 10 a.m. and will start and finish at the Maverick Activities Center. About 500 participants are expected to run.
West Nedderman Drive near the Maverick Activities Center between Greek Row Drive and UTA Boulevard will be closed from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
