An Alvarado man was arrested early Wednesday after a crime spree in the Fort Worth area, according to a statement from the Keller Police Department.
Kenneth Sheets, 37, is accused of breaking into a home in Southlake about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday; stealing a Trophy Club resident’s vehicle at gunpoint about 30 minutes later outside Larry North Fitness at Solana Club, 2902 Sam School Road, in Westlake; and taking another vehicle at about 8 p.m. in west Fort Worth.
He was arrested early Wednesday after trying to evade Johnson County sheriff’s deputies in a stolen vehicle and on foot, police said.
Keller Public Safety Director Mark Hafner, the police chief for Keller and Westlake, said in a statement that law officers in Southlake, Keller, Fort Worth and Johnson County worked together to find the suspect and make the arrest.
Sheets was booked into the Johnson County Jail on more than $90,000 bail. He faces charges including evading arrest; evading arrest with a vehicle; theft of property, $500-$1,500; theft of property, $1,500-$20,000; burglary of a habitation; aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon; and fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, according to the release.
