Fort Worth man killed in wreck in northwest Tarrant County

A 23-year-old Fort Worth man was found dead Saturday morning after his car hit a concrete bridge support along U.S. 287 in northwest Tarrant County.

The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified the victim as Dylan Marlow. He was the only occupant of the Honda Civic, which crashed into a column of the Avondale Haslet Road overpass, said Terry Grisham, a spokesman for the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department.

It appears the car crashed into “the bridge abutment at a high rate of speed,” Grisham said.

The wreck was reported at 7:13 a.m., but investigators say it could have occurred overnight and not been noticed till daylight. Grisham said the driver’s body was still buckled in when responders arrived.
