Four men were shot Sunday night after gunfire erupted in a Fort Worth apartment and continued in the street off Las Vegas Trail, police said.

Officers are investigating the crime scenes at The Villas at Sierra Vista in the 2800 block of Las Vegas Trail. The motive for the shootings, which occurred about 7 p.m. Sunday, remained unclear, officer Daniel Segura said.

One victim was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth and two were taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, all with non-life threatening gunshot wounds, MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said. Another victim was located later that evening, Segura said.

The four males range in age from 19 to 24, according to the police report.

The Fort Worth police gang unit was assigned to investigate.

The suspect or suspects fled the scene, Segura said. No one had been arrested as of early Monday.
