Arlington officer placed on leave after crash

An Arlington police officer has been placed on administrative leave while officers investigate a homeowner’s complaint that his car crashed into a backyard fence in the 2900 block of Little Road.

The officer was off duty.

The homeowner said officer Adam Rozneck struck the fence about 7:45 p.m. Thursday and then drove off, according to an Arlington police news release. The homeowner followed him and when he stopped a short distance away, confronted the officer.

The damaged vehicle was found in the 4800 block of Livingston Drive.

Police are conducting a criminal and administrative investigation into the incident, according to the news release, which notes that Rozneck has been with the department for two years. — Staff report
