An Arlington man was killed Wednesday in a motorcycle crash on South Center Street, according to police.

A man was killed in a motorcycle crash Tuesday evening, the Arlington Police Department announced in a news release.

At around 6:40 p.m., police responded to the 1200 block of South Center Street to investigate a motorcycle crash.

When officers arrived at the scene they found the driver of the motorcycle, a 23-year-old man, lying unresponsive on the road, according to the release.

Investigators believe the man was traveling southbound on South Center when the motorcycle hit a curb, fell on its side and dragged him.

Speed is also believed to be a factor, police say.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once the next of kin have been notified.
