Southwest Airlines said passenger traffic rose 8.6 percent in January as the Dallas-based carrier added more flights to its network.
The airline said capacity grew 10.2 percent but its load factor dropped 1.2 percentage points to 75.1 percent.
Southwest also told Wall Street investors that it expects its unit revenues declined one percent when compared to January 2014.
