Do you miss the days when Reno Air or Allegheny were still flying commercial aircraft?
American Airlines is tapping in to that aviation nostalgia with its new amenity kits that it is offering in first class and business class.
The Fort Worth-based carrier which has bought or merged with several other airlines throughout its 80-plus year history will feature nine different airlines logos on its amenity kits starting this month.
The kits will feature the colors and logos of legacy American Airlines, PSA, AirCal, Reno Air, Allegheny, America West, Trans World Airways, Piedmont and US Airways, the most recent merger partner for American. The amenity kits are given out to every first and business class passenger and will be available with the heritage logos until January 2016.

“We have more than 100,000 employees, each with their own unique story, and these retro amenity kits are a small tribute to the heritage of their careers and their legacy carriers,” said American vice president of global marketing Fernand Fernandez.
