Video: American’s first Dreamliner touches down at DFW

Here’s a video and a couple of photos of American’s first Dreamliner, a Boeing 787-800 with the tail number N800AN, landing at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport on Friday evening.

“It was a great ride over here,” said Capt. Mark Torres, one of the American pilots on the flight. “This is probably one of the better airplanes I’ve ever flown.”

A software problem delayed the Dreamliner in Washington state, but the pilots said once the aircraft was in the air, it was smooth flying to DFW. They described the aircraft, made of composite materials, as very quiet.
