Southwest Airlines said its passenger traffic rose 4.7 percent in April as the airline added 4.3 percent more capacity to its network.
The Dallas-based carrier said it also had a record load factor in April, 83.4 percent, up 0.3 percentage points from April 2015.
Southwest told investors it expects “a modest increase” in unit revenues in the second quarter.
