It’s a throwback from last Thursday.
A week ago, Star-Telegram photographer Max Faulkner and I were out at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport to shoot and video stock footage for the Sky Talk blog and the Star-Telegram website, when we saw American Airlines’ Astrojet livery getting ready for takeoff. The Astrojet was leaving DFW, heading to Santa Ana, Calif.
American’s Astrojet vintage livery was painted on its 50th Boeing 737-800 aircraft and was delivered in 2000. The livery was first used on American’s 727s that the airline flew in 1964.
