Southwest Airlines says March passenger traffic grew 6.2 percent

Southwest Airlines said its passenger traffic increased 6.2 percent in March as the carrier added 6.1 percent in capacity to its network.

Load factor grew slightly, up 0.1 percentage points to 84.6 percent in March 2016.

The Dallas-based carrier said it estimates first quarter unit revenues will be “in line” with the same quarter last year.
